Welcome to Watusi, the hottest tropical Reggae World Beat band in Texas! Founded
in Dallas in 1982, Watusi has thrived and spread across America, the Caribbean,
Hawaii, Mexico, South America, Africa, Indonesia and Asia. They are musicians
coming from all over the world who have joined their cultures and music to
establish a one world message and rhythm-World Beat! World Beat is a blend of
international dance music including Jamaican Reggae, Caribbean Soca, Calypso,
Hawaiian, Latin Jazz, Samba, Salsa, Juju, Makossa and Soukous. Opening for bands
such as Ziggy Marley, UB40, Third World and Jimmy Buffet, as well as headlining
concerts all over Texas, their experience gives them an international cast of
great players, a hot stage show, and the party band with the best of all worlds.
