HARRISON
Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas....a bass player's bass player.....has
played bass 32 years....and make no mistake about it--he's a bass
player, not some displaced,
couldn't-cut-it-so-let's-see-how-we-do-on-bass guitar player....owns
somewhere in the vicinity of 20 basses; primarily plays a Mike Lull
through Alembic preamps, Crown power amps, and Ampeg
cabinets....previous bands: The Wanted, Secret Service, Jet Black, the
Briefcase Blues Band....is King of the Ozarks (KotO), reigning over his
subjects with a hickory scepter and a swirl bowling ball....before Petty
Theft makes any move, one question that must be answered is 'what will
KotO think?'....a former Punt, Pass and Kick winner, with a 60-yard kick
putting him over the top....wishes he could sing like Robin Zander;
others consider that vile dreck....the only person in the free world as
we know it today who has lived in San Francisco, Austin and Las Vegas
and hates all three....when Petty Theft is in normal stage formation, he
stands on the far right....that is no accident....TALK TO HIM ABOUT: any
and all things bass guitar, backyard smoking and grilling, conservative
politics, Scottish terriers, rhinos, assembly language
programming....DON'T TALK TO HIM ABOUT: the political left
JIM
Hometown: Reno, Nevada....played piano since he was 4....the most recent
addition to Petty Theft, joining in early 2005....hooked up with Petty
Theft through a cattle call audition process and was almost immediately
identified by most of the others as the man for the job....came to Petty
Theft from Hypressure, a succesful r&b cover band which he founded in
2001....past colleagues include Colin Hay, Jean-Luc Ponty, Rob Pilatus,
Cecilia Noel, Elvin Bishop, and Chicago....at home in a solo
environment, working with bands, or with a full orchestra....a
significant proponent of Roland keyboards, although the Nord Electro has
gotten his attention....has a 14-inch waistline and an 8-Mountain
Dew-an-hour addiction....TALK TO HIM ABOUT: the '80's, synthesizers,
Apple computers, the current Vegas line, being a high school narc,
opportunities in stem cell research, Woodstock, Hostess Ding Dongs,
principles of fractal surgery....DON'T TALK TO HIM ABOUT: cheese, milk,
or other dairy products, the playoffs, minor feminine itching, golf
("Golf sucks. I play twice a week."), livestock, OU football,
breakdancing

one particular thing, other than a healthy respect for what they do,

period of time....and as demographic contemporaries, it's always been
very apparent that we cut our musical teeth on the same stuff back in
the day"....thing he likes most about playing with PT: "great players
who, for the most part, understand the group concept....when I was
really serious about this stuff, I would have killed for a bunch of guys
like this....but now we all act like we should have back thenf"....thing
he likes least about playing with PT: "I like every song we do so much
that I can't differentiate favorites; therefore, when it comes to that,
it's hard for me to exercise good judgment"....TALK TO HIM ABOUT: all

Grew up in Garland and has played guitar since he was 7....cut his teeth
in bands such as the Nomads of Garland's Bussey Jr. High and the Barking
Spyders....ran sound and lights at the Fairmont Hotel's noted Venetian
Room, where John Gary, Ed Ames, Frank Gorshin, John Davidson, Sonny &
Cher, Roger Miller, Eartha Kitt, the Supremes, and many more held
forth....he says, "Those old school artists were very jaded and
demanding of a young Garland Owl and I had to get it together
fast"....went on the road with the Bellamy Brothers just as "Let Your
Love Flow' was going certified gold, touring the Euro world with
them....returned to Dallas and backed up the Coasters, Sam the Sham, and
Bo Diddley-"all in a gig's work for the perennial sideman"....then came
his Texas singer-songwriter phase, which brought him under the watchful
eye of Tommy Alverson, Gary P. Nunn, Larry Joe Taylor, Ed Burleson, and
Cory Morrow....original member of the Neon Glowboys and Blondy....TALK
TO HIM ABOUT: being an original member of the Neon Glowboys and Blondy,
