Decades is a Dallas Fort Worth based rock and dance cover band that formed in February 2001. All members have extensive live playing experience in previous bands. Their song list consists of the best cover songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today.

They play several genres of music including dance, pop, top 40 rock, classic rock, alternative, hard rock and even a little country. Because of their diverse song list, they can modify their play list to fit whatever atmosphere your establishment or event may be. They provide an energetic live show and are available for nightclubs or private events and corporate parties.

Brian Allen Lead Vocalist/ Sequences started his musical career relatively early. He started playing his first professional gigs in rock-n-roll roadhouses at age 16 with various garage bands that are too numerous to remember. The first memorable band Brian hooked up with was Kaos (Chaos), a popular Texas new-wave band that opened shows for the Romantics and John Butcher Axis and toured the Midwest extensively. That was followed by a genuine shot at stardom with Houston's great rock hope 5AM, but it was not to be. Brian then moved to Dallas, where he became a vocal gun for Justin Case, an obscure blues-rock, and top40 band. After some moderate success, he decided to set his sights on Texas' Music Capital, in Austin. With great expectations, he joined the band NRG, a popular top 40 rock group. Creative differences and personal conflicts would make the Austin adventure a bust. He again headed back to Dallas, dabbled with the original band Tripton Groove and the classic rock band Brazos before moving to Los Angeles to investigate the music scene there, "LA was different animal", he recalls of that period. "Every musician I came in contact with was so worried about what the next industry trend was going to be, they lost sight of what playing music is all about." Living there would soon prove to be unsatisfactory so again he trekked back to Dallas where he immediately joined sammIam a popular top 40 party band. They burned bright, fast and out in about two years. After that he temporarily played with the well-known classic rock band The Fugitives and the variety band Eleven:Eleven before landing a permanent position with Decades.

Roy Lee Nelson is a guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist, producer and recording artist currently residing in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This multi-talented individual is quickly gaining popularity and garnering the respect of fellow musicians and audiences alike.

Roy Lee grew up mostly in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He started his musical career taking piano lessons at age thirteen.

He received his first electric guitar at age fifteen, and this set him on a whole new path. Many nights throughout high school were spent foregoing homework in favor of practicing guitar until the odd-hours.

He also participated in Jazz Band during his junior year of high school, learning to develop phrasing and improvisational skills. Plus, growing up with the 80's hair-metal scene, he was very much influenced by such bands as Bon Jovi, Poison, Stryper, Dokken, Skid Row -- you name it. These formative times led him to play with some classmates in a band called Secret Service.

Later, he helped form the original 80's-rock band Dead River. They played often through the summers of 1993 and 1995, and partied more. Their travels took them as far away as Pensacola, Florida before the river ran dry.

In 1996, Roy Lee also helped form the original modern-rock band The Bitter Truth. They played extensively from then until June of 1999, having shared stages with such artists as Rob Thomas of Matchbox20 as well as Better Than Ezra.

After moving to Dallas to pursue other opportunities, Roy Lee was able to join up with a local classic-rock band, One Track Minds. This band lasted quite a while, playing often around the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Soon after that, he spent nearly 2 years with another local cover band, Plan-B.

Roy Lee has now been with Decades since August of 2004. While he speaks fondly of many of his experiences with previous bands, he is often heard to say he hasn't had this much fun in a long time. In Decades, there is a genuine spirit of comraderie and cooperation not seen in many bands, that one can't help but appreciate. This spirit can especially be seen eminating from the stage wherever and whenever they perform, and is most certainly contagious...

...but ain't it cool!

Bryan Adams - Bass Guitar/ Vocals Bryan Adams has been playing bass guitar and singing in bands since the late 70's. He was influenced by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, like everybody else that grew up in the 60's and 70's. He currently uses Fender Basses and Ampeg amplifiers.

He is proud to be in Decades and hopes to accomplish a lot with this group.

He and his wife Melanie have two children, Kyle & Madison. He likes to hunt, ride motorcycles and lift weights in his spare time.
