BAND DETAIL: Brittnee Lee Edmonds - Country Prodigy
Brittnee Lee Edmonds' voice has grabbed the attention of audiences of
all ages.æ She is like a rolling thunder that has caught everyone by
surprise!æ Her country singing has America talking!
Born November 16, 1990 to John and Deena Edmonds, in a suburb of Dallas,
Texas, Brittnee Lee Edmonds captivated her family and their friends with
her sweet smile and cuddly ways.æ Little did they know, that a star was
just born!
Brittnee Lee began singing for audiences at the age of 8 years old.æ The
reaction of her audience was breathtaking!æ Brittnee Lee's confidence
and determination carried her further.
Not only did Brittnee Lee sing in school talent shows, school pep
rallies, church activities, etc.æ Brittnee Lee's talent became noticed
in several states.æ She sang at a hotel in Destin, Florida and received
a standing ovation and was asked for an encore!æ Her parents, John and
Deena knew then, that they weren't the only ones mesmerized by their
daughter's voice.
Next, Brittnee Lee traveled on to Chattanooga, Tennessee to audition,
along with thousands, for American Idol Junior, and once again, Brittnee
Lee was discovered as she was announced as a semi-finalist.
After returning to Texas, Brittnee Lee was named Garland, Texas' Little
Miss Labor Day Talent Winner, and again, this young star stunned her
audience!ææ Brittnee Lee continued to share her talent in Garland, by
auditioning for The Garland Opry and made it into the Opry on her first
audition.æ She now entertainsæthe Opry audience regularly on Saturday
evenings.æ Furthermore, Brittnee Lee went on to win First Place in The
Garland Opry Talent Search of 2004 and also won an additional award for
Good Attitude.
Furthering her experience, Brittnee Lee recently shared her outstanding
voice with yet another suburb of Dallas, Wylie, Texas.æ She auditioned,
and was immediately chosen to become a part of The Wylie Opry's regular
weekend singers.æ She debuted August 21, 2004.
Even at such a young age, Brittnee Lee is constantly researching other
singing opportunities.æ In her search, she was excited to find out about
The Un-Signed Artist World Showcase (USA World Showcase).æ With the
encouragement of family and friends, and of course Brittnee's strong
will, she didn't hesitate to shine in front of audiences once again!æ
After auditioning against over 37,000 other contestants, Brittnee Lee
was contacted by USA World Showcase that she was chosen as one of the
top 150 finalist and was asked to sing in the finals at the MGM Grand
Hotel in Las Vegas.æ Brittnee Lee quickly accepted, and in February
2004, she and her family were headed out of state once again, to let the
world know who the future country singing sensation will be.æ The USA
World Showcase was aired on television in March.æ The talent categories
were all combined, including the singers, which stiffened the
competition.æ The judges tallied up their scores, and the TV viewers
voted.æ Brittnee's fans' anticipation grew as they waited for the
results. The wait was worth it!æ Brittnee Lee continued to make the
cut.æ She made Top 40, Top 20, Top 5 and then...BRITTNEE LEE EDMONDS was
announced "USA (Un-Signed Artist) WORLD SHOWCASE TV VIEWERS CHOICE!"
This was THE GRAND PRIZE!æ Brittnee Lee was blessed once again!æ In
addition to the monetary prize and certificate,æ she was invited back to
perform at The MGM Grand Hotel as the guest of USA WORLD SHOWCASE to
sing once again, and receive her award on the television show.æ It aired
on PAX T.V.æ August 3rd, 2004.
Returning home, Brittnee Lee set off to meet yet another one of her
goals.æ She auditioned for "Johnnie High's Country Music Revue" (The
Grand Ole Opry of Texas).æ Knowing the stakes were high and rarely does
anyone make it on The Johnnie High Stage their first few times of
auditioning, Brittnee Lee didn't let that stop her.æ She went on stage
and began to sing, "Blue Moon of Kentucky" A Capella.æ Mouths were
dropping throughout the auditorium!æ Brittnee beat the odds!æ She made
it on the Johnnie High stage her first audition!æ During her first
perfomance, Johnnie High announced of Brittnee, "Some people say there
is an IT factor, well, this girls got IT!"
From her hometown, and from state to state, Brittnee Lee's singing career
is booming!æ Brittnee Lee Edmonds, "the girl in the black hat," is
recognized in public, asked to sing at several public events, including
her most recent performance at "The Star Spangled 4th," which is the
largest 4th of July event in Texas.æ She was even asked to sing at the
restaurant she ate at during her lunch break!æ The cameras were rushed
out and spectators beg for a picture with Brittnee Lee Edmonds!æ The
audience is heard yelling, "MORE! MORE! MORE!"
Above all, Brittnee Leeæ has strong morals and beliefs.æ She values
family and friends and life as a whole.æ She is a role model and
represents herself, her family and her community well at all times.æ She
is a positive leader, just what our world needs!æ Not only is she the
president of her school clubs such as, Student Council, Just Say No,
National Junior Honor Society, etc.æ Brittnee Lee is, and always has
been, an honor student.
You will hardly ever see her without a smile on her face!
