BAND DETAIL: The Irish Rogues - Irish Music
The Irish Rogues are a traditional Celtic/Irish Pub Band that performs a
rich collection of rollicking sing-a-long Irish Music, ballads and brilliant,
danceable instrumentals that originate from Ireland, Scotland and
Australia. The Irish Rogues band was created by Ireland's own John
Hodgins (a native of County Offlay) and his good friend Harold
Herrington. Under John's leadership, the band shares an energy and fun
loving direction combined with excellent instrumentals and vocals. They
are one of the longest held Celtic music groups in the Southwest.
John Hodgins plays button key accordion and harmonica with a
strong sense of rhythm and timing. He sings and performs with fun and
abandonment that pulls the audience in for an unforgettable evening.
Earnie Taft's masterful fiddle playing is matched only by his
skill on the mandolin and banjo. Earnie's experience ranges from
Bluegrass to Celtic and his expertise is equal in playing both driving
jigs and reels or romantic waltzes.
MR. Ed Macke is a superb
musician whose guitar playing is complimented by his strong vocals. His
smile is warm and sincere and a great favorite among Rogue fans. Ask him
to sing the Rattlin Bog!
Collectively, they are an
unforgettable trio performing with enthusiasm and humor with their Irish Music!
