The members of Crowd Control bring experience and professionalism to every event
in which they participate. Having accumulated over 50 years of collective
musical knowledge coupled with the desire to entertain, always makes Crowd
Control an event favorite. The Crowd Control song selection draws from hits of
the 70's 80's 90's and beyond. With attention to audience participation and
dancing we make sure that a great time will be enjoyed by all.
Stephanie Nix - Vocals
Stephanie Nix is a native Texan who has been an actively performing vocalist for
20 years. Throughout her career, she has performed various venues in the U.S.,
Canada and Mexico. In her repertoire there are eclectic mixes of pop/rock, jazz
standards, classical, musical theater, country, and original music. She's worked
in a multitude of settings ranging from vocal/instrumental duets, quartets, and
choral music to bands.
Ms. Nix is also a physician assistant in family practice in the Dallas area. She
continues to pursue music on a semi-professional basis; with music and medicine
being the two great loves she enjoys sharing with others.
John Immel - Bass Guitar, Vocals
John Immel is a multi-instrumentalist who plays electronic keyboards, bass
guitar and electric guitar. John's extensive musical background includes being
awarded a Woody Herman Jazz scholarship, outstanding soloist award at the Eau
Claire, Wisconsin Jazz festival and the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz award.
John attended the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, which was followed by a
professional music career traveling the country with many different types of
musical groups featured in hotels, clubs and arena venues. Today, John resides
in Lewisville, Texas and has played with many bands locally.
Musical Inspiration
John's favorite style of music is jazz/fusion with a funk/ R&B groove. Artists
like Gino Vanelli, Larry Carlton, Al Dimeola, Dave Grusin, Chick Corea, Joe
Sample and Marcus Miller are among the few musicians to whom John listens.
Harold Shepard - Keyboards, Vocals
Harold Shepard started Piano at age 6 and playing in bands since 7th grade. Jazz
studies began at age 16 and he earned recognition at the Texas State High School
Jazz Band Competition as outstanding piano player. Harold has performed with
major recording artists like The Drifters, Clark Terry, Pat Travers, and Elliott
Easton.
Musical Inspiration
Harold grew up listening to Big Band, Swing and 60's rock - Harold loves Motown
and Funk and learned so much from the music of the 60's and 70's.
Reginald Dunn - Drums
A native of Los Angeles, CA, Reggie has been playing the Dallas music scene
since 2000. He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and solo artist, with
musical roots from both sides of his family. Reggie began playing drums at the
age of three years old, then ventured on to bass and guitar as a pre-teen, and
finally piano at age 17. These talents have paved the way for a variety of
musical experiences, the latest of which is his responsibility as drummer of
Crowd Control.
Outside of music, Reggie has an MBA and is an accomplished Corporate Trainer.
