BAND DETAIL: Branded Heart
Five hard working guys dedicated to entertaining the Central Texas Music
Fan . . . wherever we find them. Originally formed by Robby White in
Gatesville, the group has evolved into the current lineup which now also
includes members from Temple and Waco. Over the years, we've had the
good fortune to open shows for: Tracy Lawrence, Sammy Kershaw, Neal
McCoy, Kevin Fowler, Johnny Lee, Gary Stewart, Doug Supernaw, Ray Price,
Gene Watson and our buddy, Deryl Dodd. We've played venues ranging in
size from Fiesta Texas and the Heart of Texas Coliseum to local clubs
and dancehalls throughout Central Texas.
Branded Heart's primary focus has always been on playing good music that
you can dance to. One compliment we often hear is: "You guys are so
versatile!!" We say, "Thanks!" and wonder "don't other bands play
traditional country, Top 40 Country, Pop, Rock and even . . . Hip Hop in
their show?!" We actually know that they don't, but our goal is to play
something for "everyone" who comes out to hear us.
ROBBY WHITE Founder, Drummer, Singer (sometimes)
Robby founded "BRANDED HEART" out of Gatesville back in the late 80's.
He plays drums, sings and tries to keep us organized. (Not always an
easy task!)
DONNIE BERGER Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Keyboards
Donnie makes his home in Waco. Playing lead guitar, keyboards, harmonica
and singing makes him a tremendous asset to any band. In fact, there's
not many musical instruments he hasn't tried to play at one time or
another.
He's also one of the most "easy going" guys you'll ever meet.
MICHAEL L. JIMENEZ Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
Michael calls Temple home. He sang all his life, but about 12-years ago
answered an ad for a "rhythm-guitar player with vocals" with a group
called "Caren Thetford & Branded Heart".
Little did he know that a few bands later he would rejoin Robby and the
guys in this latest incarnation of the group.
RUSSELL BLACK Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar
Originally from Rogers, Russell now calls Temple home. He is a veteran
of the Central-Texas Country Music scene, playing most recently with the
Mark Richey Band. Check back here soon for more information about this
very talented new addition to Branded Heart.
BILL PAN Pedal Steel Guitar
Based out of Brady, Bill Pan is our newest member. A touring pro, he
most recently displayed his top-notch steel guitar licks while playing
with Texas Music rising star, Aaron Watson. Like Michael, this is Bill's
second stint with Branded Heart. Y'all make him feel welcome.
